No riding to report today. I know what's going to happen in the comments but i'll admit it, i slept in. I did hold out some hope of riding after work but i couldn't find my Garmin or either of my tail lights because my car was so messy, so i cleaned the car instead (i also found my BB tool, but no sign of the cassette lockring tool i've been hunting for several weeks).
So on to the robot stuff i was talking about the other week instead. As all the best instruction manuals put it, "reassembly is the reversal of the above", so first step is to tinker with the motor unit-
Then the bearings-
And finally new foam brushes.
Obviously there are one or two extra steps, but i need to keep some of my secrets to justify getting paid the big bucks now don't i? (*laughs bitterly)
But if you do it well enough (and you're lucky enough to come across the one customer in every 50,000 who isn't a complete arsehole) you get one of these!
Fair Winds,
LDR.
