Well it's not the full update but i did promise i would be posting something today.
Tuesday i had been intending on getting on the bike before work but for some reason that didn't happen (buggered if i can remember why this long after) so it would have to be after work. The "Sunshine Coast" turned on a typical display of summer afternoon weather, hence there are no photos from that ride due to excess moisture and a lack of suitable lighting.
It also meant a shorter than anticipated ride, as i declined to savour the delights of descending Carter's Ridge in the dark on a wet road. Still, 47.5kms is better than nothing.
The next ride wasn't until Friday, again for reasons that have been lost in the mists of time.
I have a feeling the kittens had a hand in matters though, as the original plan for Friday morning had been for some Gyndier repeats, but by the time i was ready to go there was only time for a 20k TT effort (barely). I was getting along at a reasonable pace for the first few kms but then the opportunity of outpacing a car presented itself.
I took to the task with great enthusiasm, but only a few hundred metres later i realised why sprinting in the middle of a TT effort is a bad idea.
