A couple of weeks ago i realised the Buderim 9 race is on December the 20th, and having never missed one since i first rode it i had to ask..
Is it possible to get to race fitness in 3 weeks, after ~6 months of next to nothing?
Easy, no.
So is it possible to do enough in 3 weeks to complete a race without being a complete embarrassment?
Well actually, now that might...
In 3 weeks while working 2 jobs near enough to 24hrs a day?

I am not one to shy away from a challenge, so the plan was to get in as much riding as possible for 2 weeks before "taking a rest week" (aka, working from 8am Tuesday to 5am Thursday).
Slight hiccup there, "as much riding as possible" has turned out to be less than 130kms, and with entries closing tomorrow, i have to admit defeat (which has been something of a theme this year).
But at least it meant i got in about 129kms more than would have been the case otherwise (when it comes to looking for silver linings, i make BHP seem like amateurs).
Off to bed now for yet another delightful 11pm start, so i'll leave you with this video.
Fair Winds,
