Well not quite that, but Mrs LDR and i just attended our first antenatal class and SWEET JESUS it was boring. The first hour and a half was just excruciating cliched "getting to know the other participants" bollocks. Why the hell would i want to get to know them, i've got my own shit going on! Just tell us how to get the thing out of there.
Only another THREE of those to go....
In cycling news, there actually is some. After yet another shift at the servo (one of my fellow graveyard workers had to quit for medical reasons, so i am on triple shifts) i finally got around to adjusting the stem height on the Tarini so i didn't have to perform yoga contortions and set off with ambitions of doing the Noosa Century short course.
Alas, with all this work i need to listen to my body, and this morning it was loud and clear that it did NOT want to do a century (the short course is actually only 80kms, but that works out to over 400 furlongs, so it's a quadruple century if you want it to be). So instead i settled for turning around at Noosa Heads. I had been taking it fairly steady but when a trihard on a Giant Trinity passed me at Peregian i had to defend my honour as best i could, and averaged bang on 40kmh for 3.2kms before i popped. He was working pretty hard to keep away though, so i was well satisfied with that effort.
Off to the servo again now, and then to the day job, so around 26 hours before i finally get back to sleep :-(.
Fair Winds,
LDR.
